Film London’s Microschool is a four day developmental programme which provides a flexible creative space for up to thirty film-makers short-listed from the applications to the Microwave scheme.
The key objective of Microschool is to prepare people who are moving into the world of features, providing an opportunity to develop their projects through talks, discussions and workshops, facilitated by industry experts.
The sessions offer support in script development, producing a feasible budget and schedule, project USP and market position. Each project group is assigned a specialist producer, script editor and director mentor to explore each project’s potential. Teams are given advice to improve projects and gain a better understanding of how low budget films can find an audience and be successful. Whether the film is greenlit by Microwave, Microschool aims to support shortlisted film-makers to reach their potential.
