Christine Bottomley

On the big screen, Christine first appeared as Mavis Black in Mike Leigh’s Oscar nominated film Vera Drake. She then appeared in Roger Mitchell’s Venus and Roger Goldby’s The Waiting Room before taking on the part of Lisa in The Arbor, directed by Clio Barnard, which earned her a nomination for British Supporting Actress of the Year at the 31st London Critics’ Circle Film Awards. Christine also recently finished filming a role in Nigel Cole’s Rafta Rafta, which is due to be released in 2011, and is about to start filming John Hay’s The Lost Christmas opposite Eddie Izzard and Jason Flemyng.

Her TV work include Shameless (Ch 4), The Palace, Vincent, Midsomer Murders (all ITV),Caravaggio, multi BAFTA-winning The Street, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, Survivors and Grounded for Life (BBC).
