MICROWAVE YEAR THREE – FOXGLOVE

Following their participation in Microschool, the film-making teams pitched their projects to a panel of experts before 2 projects were given the greenlight to go into production.

Whilst they have its roots in social realism, Ornette’s previous shorts have a magical quality and are very cinematic. The panel felt bringing this quality to Foxglove would enable the project to stand out somewhat in the marketplace. All Ornette and Kate’s prior collaborations are films from the viewpoint of children or teens. This project therefore sits well in their body of work and represents a considered step into feature films, taking their previous themes and expanding them on a bigger tableau.
