Jes Benstock

Director Jes Benstock has been successfully directing highly acclaimed, award winning and innovative short films for over 10 years.

Jes started acting while still at school and went on to establish award-winning Edinburgh based comedy theatre group, The Merry Mac Fun Show. His natural theatrical sensibility and gentle humour has imbued his directorial work, often tackling difficult subjects with a light touch.

He has directed internationally recognised documentaries, short fiction and music promos. Award winning films include The Box (with Tilda Swinton), Orders of Love supported by the Film London Pulse Scheme, Holocaust Tourist and Poof. Most recent works include animated documentary The Man with the Extended Mind for ITV, and Tagger, a short sci-fi collaboration with Mike Figgis for the 50th Anniversary of the London Film Festival.
